Dr. Satya S. S. Narina is a distinguished horticultural scientist, educator, and author with over two decades of contributions to research and academic publishing. With roots in a traditional farming family in Konaseema, Andhra Pradesh, India, she earned her Ph.D. in Vegetable Science from the prestigious Indian Agricultural Research Institute in New Delhi. Her career began with a focus on improving minor tuber crops at Agriculture research Station, YSR Horticulture University, in Andhra Pradesh India. It evolved into research on nutritionally important and emerging crops with institutions such as Virginia State University, and USDA-ARS.

Midhat Mahboob is a postgraduate researcher at Lincoln University, New Zealand, where her work focuses on plant–microbe interactions and developing sustainable solutions to climate change–induced drought stress. Her current project investigates the potential of microbial synthetic communities (SynComs) isolated from pasture plants to improve drought resilience in key forage species. She has a background in microbiology and plant sciences, with research interests in plant physiology, microbial ecology, and agricultural biotechnology. Through this research, she aims to contribute to innovative and sustainable strategies that strengthen food security in New Zealand and globally.

Sara Gebremeskel Hailemariam is a molecular plant pathologist whose research focuses on plant immune signaling, gene editing, and the development of resilient crops under biotic and abiotic stress. She earned her Ph.D. in Botany and Plant Pathology from Purdue University, where she characterized receptor-like cytoplasmic kinases (RLCKs) in tomato and uncovered their roles in defence signaling and light-mediated plant–pathogen interactions. She is currently a Postdoctoral Scientist at Corteva Agriscience in Johnston, Iowa, where she works on resistance gene discovery in a major crop. Her research combines molecular biology, functional genomics, and multi-omics approaches. She is passionate about global food security and sustainable agriculture and actively engages in professional development and outreach, including youth policy boards and agricultural innovation forums.
