Christopher Keegan is an insurance industry veteran and legal expert with over 35 years of experience advising global corporations on cybersecurity, network privacy, technology, and media liabilities. In his executive role at Brown & Brown, he leads the Cyber and Technology National Practice, overseeing the strategic placement and advisory of advanced technology errors and omissions (E&O) and cyber insurance portfolios for entities ranging from emerging startups to Fortune 500 companies.

Before his tenure at Brown & Brown, Keegan was the Vice President at Zurich Reinsurance (North America) Inc., where he built and managed their specialized e-commerce and technology reinsurance business. He began his professional career working in New York and London as a private practice attorney.

Deeply involved in the academic and regulatory evolution of digital risk, Keegan serves as a Senior Research Fellow at the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. In this capacity, he collaborates on federally backed initiatives alongside the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to develop algorithmic risk models and dynamic cyber information assessments for enterprise networks and complex supply chains. He holds a Juris Doctor (JD) from Saint John's University School of Law and is a frequent contributor to prominent risk publications and global security panels.
