Biography
Thomas de Jager is a senior Dutch national security strategist and researcher specializing in geopolitics, state-sponsored threats, and digital sovereignty. In his role at the NCTV, he monitors, analyzes, and briefs government entities on systemic risks facing the Netherlands, with a core focus on the convergence of state threats and nationwide cybersecurity vulnerabilities. He serves as the lead editor for the Cyber Security Assessment Netherlands 2027 (CSAN), the state's definitive intelligence document tracking emerging threat vectors, infrastructural gaps, and adversary capabilities. De Jager holds an MSc in Human Geography with a specialization in European governance and border identities from Radboud University.
