Professor of Marketing, Head of the Analytics, Marketing and Opertations (AMO) Department, and Academic Director of the MSc Climate Change, Management & Finance (2022-26). Previously a Professor of Consumer Psychology, and Vice-Dean of FGV EBAPE in Rio de Janeiro (2012-22), and an Assistant and Associate Professor of Marketing (with tenure) at the Haas School of Business, at UC Berkeley (2004-12).
My current research agenda focuses on how people feel, think, and make decisions in areas related to environmental sustainability, inequality, health, and political polarization. My articles have appeared in leading journals in marketing (Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of Marketing Research), medicine/public health (Lancet, Public Health Nutrition, Preventive Medicine, JAMA Network Open), and psychology (Psychological Science, Nature Human Behavior), and environmental sciences (Climatic Change), among others.
I teach MSc and PhD modules related to sustainable consumption and behavioural sciences in health.
