Daniel J. Curry, MD is an academic pediatric neurosurgeon and director of the Pediatric Functional Neurosurgery Program at Texas Children’s Hospital. He work spans surgical treatment of epilepsy, movement disorders, pain, and hydrocephalus. His lead the nation’s largest pediatric SEEG and RNS program, pioneered MR-guided laser ablation for hypothalamic hamartomas, and launched the first intracranial gene therapy at our institution. He advancing real-time, ambulatory ICP monitoring and closed-loop shunt systems for hydrocephalus. His translational efforts also include DBS in Rett syndrome models and focused ultrasound initiatives. He founded the TCH Neuroinfusion Center for enzyme therapy in Batten disease and NIH-directed intrathecal drug delivery research.
