Dr. Magdalena Maj received her PhD in Cell Biology at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna, Austria. As a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Houston, she studied the molecular mechanisms of chemotherapy-induced neurotoxicities, including peripheral neuropathy and “chemo brain”. Since 2017, she has been a faculty member in the Biological Sciences Department at California Polytechnic State University. Her research focuses on the cellular mechanisms linking metabolic and neurodegenerative disorders. She has published 40 research articles in SCI(E)-indexed journals.
