Biography:

Professor Fiona Robson joined Heriot-Watt University Dubai in May 2023 as Head of the School of Social Sciences and Edinburgh Business School. Professor Fiona sits on the Dubai Executive Committee and represents. Dubai on the global School of Social Sciences Executive Board. Professor Fiona’s subject expertise lies within the field of HRM where she holds a BA, MA and PhD as well as the highest professional qualification (Academic CIPD). She is also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. As the Head of School, Professor Fiona assumes overall leadership and accountability in making sure that academic programmes are delivered to the highest levels of quality and standards. Fiona leads, manages, and coaches colleagues in the four departments that make up the School of Social Sciences in Dubai. Prior to joining Heriot-Watt, Professor Fiona was Head of Business Management at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen, she has previously undertaken senior roles at Newcastle, Roehampton and Northumbria Universities.
