ADHD disorder

ADHD disorder:

ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by persistent patterns of inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity that significantly impair functioning or development. Symptoms typically appear in childhood and can persist into adolescence and adulthood. Inattentive symptoms include difficulty sustaining attention, forgetfulness, and organizational problems. Hyperactive-impulsive symptoms manifest as restlessness, excessive talking, and difficulty waiting turns. Diagnosis involves assessing symptom severity, duration, and impairment across different settings. Treatment often combines behavioral interventions, such as cognitive- behavioral therapy and parent training, with medication to manage symptoms. Effective management helps individuals with ADHD improve focus, behavior control, and overall quality of life.
