Michael Calderin is an information technology, cybersecurity, and risk mitigation executive with more than 30 years of experience directing defensive programs for major multinational corporations. In his current role as Chief Information Security Officer at Barnes Aerospace, he orchestrates the enterprise-wide security posture and technical risk strategy, collaborating directly with senior executive leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to align digital defense practices with macroscopic business growth. Over his career, Calderin has engineered scalable infrastructure security and compliance programs supporting up to 45,000 employees across more than 20 countries.
Calderin specializes in disaster recovery planning, high-velocity incident response, security awareness architectures, and cost-contained process optimization. His operational approach focuses on leveraging technical systems analysis, project management, and strategic resource allocation to exceed performance benchmarks while driving down operational costs. A native of South Florida, he is deeply active in the regional security ecosystem as a founding member of the South Florida CISO Forum and a member of the CISO Executive Network Advisory Council. He also serves as a strategic advisor to emerging cybersecurity startups, dedicating his time to piloting new technical capabilities for the broader industry.
