Dr. Ben Maruthappu studied medicine at University of Cambridge, where he earned his medical degree. During his training, he developed a strong interest in healthcare innovation, ageing populations, and improving health system efficiency through technology.

Before founding Cera, he worked as a doctor in the National Health Service and served as a health policy adviser to the UK government. He also held roles advising on healthcare transformation and innovation, gaining experience at the intersection of clinical practice, technology, and public policy.
