Biography:

Dr. Ralph Ostertag is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Asia-Pacific and the Director of the Global GenAI Lab at The HEINEKEN Company. Based in Singapore, he is a seasoned transformation and technology executive with over two decades of global leadership experience spanning the automotive and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industries. Within Heineken, he spearheaded the strategic transition from decentralized AI experimentation to a structured, enterprise-grade generative AI operating model, delivering tangible results across marketing planning, supply chain, and workforce enablement. In March 2025, he led the official launch of Heineken's Global GenAI Lab in Singapore in collaboration with AI Singapore and the Economic Development Board (EDB) to scale responsible AI capabilities. Prior to his regional CIO and global lab director mandates, he held multi-market leadership roles at Heineken and Daimler AG across four continents. Dr. Ostertag holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration, completed executive programs at Stanford GSB, IMD, and Cambridge, and is a five-time recipient of the CIO100 ASEAN Award.
