Biography:

Rahil Ansari has been serving as the senior director of central controlling sales, digital and new business of Audi AG in Germany since 2019. In 2021, he added the roles of chairman and chief executive of Volkswagen Group Taiwan and managing director of Audi Taiwan. With more than two decades of experience in the automotive industry and in the Volkswagen Group, Mr. Ansari has comprehensive expertise across different divisions and business areas. He started his automotive career at the Audi headquarters in sales controlling in 2004 and moved to the sales department in 2006 to help establish Audi operations in India. These efforts resulted in the foundation of Audi India, including local assembly. In 2011, Mr. Ansari moved to India as head of dealer development for Audi. Following four years at Audi AG in Germany in the area of after-sales, he became the managing director of Audi India in 2017.
