Prof. Dr. med. Christoph D. Spinner, MBA, serves as the Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO), Senior Consultant Physician in Infectious Diseases, and Executive Head of the Department of Medicine & Strategy at the University Hospital rechts der Isar of the Technical University of Munich (TUM). In his dual capacity, he coordinates medical IT strategy, focusing on semantic and procedural interoperability, while leading strategic digital transformation processes. An accomplished clinician-scientist with over 100 scientific publications, his research focuses on public health, epidemiology, and advanced clinical translation for infectious diseases, particularly HIV/AIDS and COVID-19—the latter for which he served as the hospital's Pandemic Officer. He completed his medical education at the Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg, holds a doctorate and habilitation in Internal Medicine, and maintains active leadership board seats across major European medical networks like the German AIDS Society (DAIG)
