Biography:

Magnus Kjellberg is the Director of the AI Competence Center and Chief Data Scientist at Sahlgrenska University Hospital. He leads the hospital's efforts to advance the adoption of artificial intelligence and data science in clinical care, research, and healthcare operations, helping to position the organization at the forefront of AI-enabled healthcare innovation in Sweden.

In his leadership role, Kjellberg oversees the development and implementation of AI strategies that support clinical decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and accelerate translational research. He works closely with clinicians, researchers, engineers, and technology partners to identify high-impact applications of machine learning, predictive analytics, and advanced data platforms across the hospital.

As Chief Data Scientist, he is responsible for promoting the effective and responsible use of healthcare data, ensuring that AI solutions are developed with a strong focus on clinical value, data quality, governance, interoperability, and ethical standards. His work includes establishing the infrastructure and multidisciplinary collaborations needed to translate AI research into scalable, real-world clinical applications.
