Baligh R. Yehia is the President of Jefferson Health and an Executive Vice President of Jefferson, leading one of the largest academic health systems in the United States. He oversees a network of 32 hospitals and more than 700 care sites across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, guiding the organization's strategy for clinical excellence, innovation, growth, and integrated patient care.

A board-certified physician in internal medicine and infectious diseases, Dr. Yehia is nationally recognized for his expertise in healthcare transformation, population health, health equity, and value-based care. Before joining Jefferson Health in 2023, he served as Senior Vice President at Ascension and President of Ascension Medical Group, where he led system-wide initiatives in virtual care, behavioral health, pharmacy services, clinician engagement, and care model innovation. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, including serving as the first Deputy Under Secretary for Health for Community Care, and also held leadership positions at Johns Hopkins Medicine and University of Pennsylvania.

Under Dr. Yehia's leadership, Jefferson Health has accelerated digital transformation by expanding virtual care, advancing artificial intelligence, and integrating care across its growing health system. He has championed a human-centered AI strategy focused on improving clinician productivity, reducing administrative burden, and enhancing patient outcomes while preserving the physician–patient relationship.
