Biography:

Professor Mekhman Mamedov graduated from the Moscow Medical Academy named after I.M. Sechenov in 1993, completed his residency at the Central Clinical Hospital of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, and earned his PhD (1997) and doctoral thesis (2001) on metabolic syndrome at the National Research Center for Preventive Medicine. He has spent 31 years at the National Medical Research Center for Therapy and Preventive Medicine, where he heads the secondary prevention of cardiovascular diseases. He has authored 530 scientific works, 24 monographs, and 3 patents, with a Hirsch Index of 41 (RSCI) / 7 (Scopus). Under his supervision, 10 PhDs and 1 doctoral thesis have been defended, and he has recently initiated 12 research projects. He lectures globally on cardiometabolic disorders, cardiovascular risk, prediabetes, epidemiology, and cardio-oncology, and serves as editor-in-chief of the International Heart and Vascular Disease Journal.
