Epidemiology of Infectious Diseases

Epidemiology of Infectious Diseases:

The epidemiology of infectious diseases focuses on understanding how diseases caused by pathogens (bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites) spread, their impact on populations, and the development of strategies to control and prevent their spread. Central to this field is the agent-host-environment model, which examines the interactions between the pathogen (agent), the individual or population affected (host), and the surrounding conditions (environment) that facilitate disease transmission.
