Abstract
Objective: This study aimed to examine nurses' mental health promotion levels and associated factors. Method: This descriptive study was conducted on 223 nurses working at a foundation university hospital. Data were collected using the "Nurse Information Form" and the "Mental Health Promotion Scale." Data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 statistical software. Frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, independent samples t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), and post hoc analyses (Tukey, LSD) were used in data analysis. Findings: Nurses scored 187.9±25.7 on the "Mental Health Promotion Scale," and those who took initiatives to improve their mental health (x=190.9±25.3) had significantly higher scores on the Mental Health Promotion Scale than those who did nothing (x=180.8±25.3) (t=2.760; p=0.006).
