Liposuction

Liposuction:

Liposuction is a popular cosmetic surgery procedure that removes excess fat from specific areas of the body to improve contour and shape. It is not a weight loss solution but rather a body contouring procedure aimed at sculpting areas that may be resistant to diet and exercise.

How Liposuction Works
Liposuction involves the following steps:
Anaesthesia: Depending on the area being treated and the extent of the procedure, general or local anaesthesia is administered to ensure patient comfort.
Incision: Small incisions are made near the targeted fat areas.
Fat Removal: A thin tube (called a cannula) is inserted through the incision, and the fat is broken down and suctioned out using a vacuum-like device.
Post-Surgery: After fat removal, the area is bandaged and compression garments are often worn to reduce swelling and support the healing process.

Common Areas Treated with Liposuction
Abdomen: One of the most common areas for liposuction, especially for those struggling with stubborn belly fat.
Thighs: Often performed on the inner or outer thighs to create smoother contours.
Hips and Flanks (Love Handles): These areas are common targets for liposuction to reduce bulges.
Arms: Also known as "bat wings," the upper arms are commonly treated to remove excess fat.
Chin and Neck: Liposuction can be used to remove a double chin or excess fat around the neck area.
Back: Fat along the upper back, bra line, or lower back can be sculpted through liposuction.
