Stem cells:

Stem cells::

Stem cells are unique cells with the ability to differentiate into various specialized cell types and to self-renew, dividing indefinitely to produce more stem cells. They play a crucial role in development, tissue repair, and maintenance of the body's organs and tissues throughout life. There are two main types: embryonic stem cells, derived from embryos, and adult stem cells, found in various tissues and organs. Induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) are another type, generated by reprogramming adult cells to regain pluripotency. Stem cell research holds promise for regenerative medicine, disease modelling, and understanding developmental processes and genetic disorders.
