He studied at the University of Valencia , where he obtained his Bachelor's degree in 1987 and later his doctorate in medicine and aesthetics, graduating summa cum laude . He subsequently specialized in Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery at La Fe Hospital in Valencia (1988–1993). Since 1994, he has worked at the Hospital Clínic i Provincial de Barcelona, and in 2010 he founded Antiaging Group Barcelona, a private institution of which he is the Director. He specializes in facial surgery, breast surgery , and male aesthetic surgery.

He belongs to several scientific societies, including the Spanish Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (AECEP), of which he is President (2018–2019), and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), as a member of the Education Council and President in Spain. He is also a member of the Spanish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (SECPRE); the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS); the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS); and the International Federation of Adipose Therapeutics and Science (IFATS), among others. He has been President of the Patient Safety Committee of the European Association of Societies of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (EASAPS) and a member of the ISAPS Patient Safety Committee.
