Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) is a group of chronic inflammatory conditions affecting the gastrointestinal tract, primarily including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. These disorders are characterized by persistent inflammation, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and impaired quality of life. Increasing evidence suggests that genetic, environmental, immune, and micro biome factors all contribute to the development and progression of IBD.
