Spine Fracture

Spine Fracture:

Spine fractures, also known as vertebral fractures, are breaks in one or more of the bones (vertebrae) that make up the spine. These fractures can occur due to various factors, including trauma, osteoporosis, tumours, or certain diseases that weaken the bones. Spine fractures can lead to significant pain, disability, and, in severe cases, neurological complications.
Complications Spine fractures can lead to several complications, including:
Chronic Pain: Persistent pain may occur even after treatment.
Neurological Damage: Severe fractures that compress the spinal cord can lead to paralysis or loss of sensation.
Deformity: Untreated or improperly managed fractures may result in spinal deformities, impacting posture and mobility.
Osteoporosis: Recurrent fractures can indicate underlying osteoporosis, requiring ongoing management to prevent further fractures.
